Porsche Club Championship Competitors

Following the changes to the Classic Championship for 2003 there are some new competitors and some familiar competitors in unfamiliar cars. Here are some of the cars and faces behind my race reports in 2003. Pictures of other Porsche Classic drivers and cars can be found here.

Details

Having being overall Champion for 2002 David has changed the engine in his car to run in Class 2 this year to defend his title.

Details

Tony has raced a 2.7RS in the Classic Championship for a couple of years and decided to remain in Class 1 by secretly building a 968.

Details

Tom raced for a couple of years in the Porsche Cup, initially in a 2.7 944 but also did a few races in this S2 before taking a couple of years break.

Another 944 S2 being campaigned by Paul Coombs who has previously competed in Caterhams.

Just like buses, you don't see a S2 for years and then 3 come along together !.

Like Tom McHugh Alvero has had previous experience in the Porsche Cup

Details

Richard has jumped two classes from his 2.4E to compete in a 3.2 Carrera in the 2003 Championship.

This car was written off at Silverstone in 2003

Details

Chris is another returnee to the Championship having previously owned the 2.4E that John Williams won the Championship in, which was then sold to Richard harrison above.
